Famous American mixed martial arts veteran Daniel Cormier commented on former UFC middleweight champion Chris Weidman 's victory over Bruno Silva.
The fight took place last weekend at UFC on ESPN 54 in Atlantic City, USA, and ended with Chris winning by technical judges' decision.
"There is a rule that if the fight has reached a certain stage, the judges in such cases give a technical decision. And if you give the victory on points, then Weidman won. By making that decision, they saved the fight and saved Chris the win, because he really deserved it.
Chris said one very important thing: "I understand everything, but Bruno had to realize that you can't just fall to the ground and stop fighting, because then I'll pounce on you and end the fight."
Weidman did what his instincts told him to do, and they told him to finish Silva. I only say that because I think Bruno's reaction was similar to how soccer players roll around on the field from any touch," BJ Penn quoted Cormier as saying.
