Fundora is suspended from fighting until the end of September

Sebastian Fundora, the new WBC and WBO middleweight champion of the world, has been medically suspended by the Nevada Athletic Commission until September 27. The medical suspension was imposed following Fundora's fight with Tim Tszyu.

"When a WBO champion is injured, the committee issues a letter entitled 'Interim Medical Certification' which requires the fighter, through his representative, to submit to the WBO in writing a detailed medical report of his injury and the findings and prognosis of his physician, including a timeline for his recovery. After receiving such evidence, the committee will decide on further action in accordance with our recommendations," - said the representative of the WBO.

Recall, Fundora won Tszyu by split decision of judges.
