Berichnik's coach: "Denis is a unique person. A plowman and a talent"

Ukrainian boxing trainer Egor Golub shared his opinion about his ward, WBO International lightweight champion Denis Berinchik (18-0, 9 KOs).

On May 18 in San Diego, California, USA, the Ukrainian will have to fight for the full vacant WBO lightweight belt against Mexican Emanuel Navarrete (38-1-1, 31 KOs).

- What is Denis like in training camp? We know him as a showman. As a charismatic personality. But what is he like in training camp? Is he more of a plowman or a talent?

- He's both a plowman and a talent. Denis is really a unique person. And also as a person, not only as a boxer.

He is talented. He's very skillful. But he is also a plowman. Just a very, very strong plowman.

You know what we both like about our partnership? That I'm young, too. Today he did 60 minutes of rollerblading. I ran next to him. He's on his bike, I'm running next to him. I'm young, I want to train too. I'm not one of those trainers with a potbelly and a tracksuit.

I also have three amateur boxers. Denis laughs and tells them: "You are lucky that you have a young coach. He even plays computer games with you. I wish I had such a coach, who could also play games with me or play soccer on a console.
