Former UFC fighter and current analyst Brendan Schaub disagrees with bookmakers who see former middleweight champion Robert Whittaker as the underdog in his fight with Hamzat Chimaev.
The Australian and the UAE-based Chechen will fight on June 22 in the main event of UFC on ABC 6 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
"I'm a big fan of Chimaev. At the same time, Robert Whittaker is the worst opponent for Hamat, especially when it comes to five rounds. Definitely bet on Whittaker.
Can Hamzat win? Absolutely, but this is a major jump for Hamzat in terms of his level of opposition. Even in his fight with Kamaru Usman, Hamzat had stamina issues, what if that fight had gone five rounds? Now he's facing a natural middleweight, one of the best in history. Whittaker has only lost to Adesanya and Du Plessis. All of them," Schaub stated on his podcast.
