Sparring or fighting: Alimkhanuly told which is more difficult

Alexandr Ormanji April 2, 2024, 1:20 p.m.

Zhanibek Alimkhanuly, WBO and IBF middleweight champion of the world, answered the question of what he finds harder - sparring or fighting.

"I don't know about anyone else, but for me the easiest thing for me is to get in the ring than sparring. Because in sparring we study the opponent, who we're going to box with in the ring. To study the opponent and work on it is very difficult. And it's easier to get into the ring. Because we already know approximately the opponent's technique. In other words, we are already ready for this fight. Therefore, for us, training with sparring opponents, work in the gym, are much more difficult than the final fight itself," - said the boxer.

Earlier Alimkhanuly challenged Erislandy Lara.
