Fundora - new WBO and WBC world champion, Bogachuk - interim champion

Boxing night recently concluded in Las Vegas, with Sebastian Fundora creating a mini-sensation by beating Tim Tszyu in the main event. The fight lasted the entire allotted distance, ending with Fundora winning by split decision. The judges' scores are as follows: 112-116, 116-112 and 115-113 in favor of the American boxer.

Thus, Fundora became the new world champion in the first middleweight by versions WBO and WBC.

On the same boxing night, Ukrainian boxer Serhiy Bogachuk won by unanimous decision of the judges against Brian Mendoza and became the interim WBC world champion in the first middleweight division. The judges' notes are as follows: 118-110, 117-111 and 117-111 in favor of Bogachuk.
