Mendes spoke out about Sandhagen's criticism of Nurmagomedov

Head coach of AKA Hall Javier Mendez commented on the harsh words of UFC lightweight fighter Corey Sandhagen about Umar Nurmagomedov. Earlier, the American, criticizing the Dagestani, said that he more often withdraws from fights than fights.

"We need better bouts. Sandhagen's bout with Nurmagomedov is a perfect matchup, but after Umar was forced to withdraw last time, then Corey started talking about constantly pulling out of fights. Sandhagen is spreading rumors about Umar being someone who pulls out of fights all the time, but look at the history and stats: he's only been injured twice. The accusations he made against Umar were unfounded, so that needs to be corrected," Bloody Elbow quoted Mendes as saying.

Recall, earlier there was information that Sandhagen and Nurmagomedov may fight at the end of June.
