Paco Valcárcel, president of the WBO, responded to a question whether the organization he heads would agree that the bout between world heavyweight champions Oleksandr Usyk and Tyson Fury should be served by six judges instead of three.
"This topic has been discussed among the sanctioning organizations. I don't believe this proposal will add anything to boxing, because judges should be competent and three is enough. So, no, I will not agree to 6 judges," - quotes the functionary WBN.
Recall, the confrontation between Usik and Fury, at stake in which will stand the title of absolute world champion in heavyweight, will be held on May 18 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
