Former UFC champion of two weight categories Conor McGregor commented on the return of his former rival Jose Aldo in the promotion.

Earlier it became known that the 37-year-old Brazilian will meet Jonathan Martinez on May 4 at UFC 301 in Rio de Janeiro.

"Look at Jose... It's really great to see him come back. Very happy that he's coming back. Honestly, I was surprised he retired. The guy was still fighting for the title not too long ago.

I'm glad he's coming back. I'm now wondering what his game was? I understand he wanted to do better and that's why he left and now he got the call? Jose has been busy, doing boxing fights and all that. Still, the important thing is that he's back. I'm very happy and it's good for the organization," Irish said on The MMA Hour show.
