Sebastian Fundora, a first middleweight boxer, told why he agreed to have a fight with Tim Tszyu after refusing to fight Sergey Bogachuk.
"My promoter called me and told me that Tszyu's opponent was injured. He said I could save boxing night and my first reaction was 'yes'. Tim is the world champion, we will fight for two belts at once. It's a big fight. Tim Tszyu is probably the best middleweight on the planet right now. And if I have the opportunity to dethrone him from that throne, I agree to do it," Fundora said in an interview with Boxing Scene.
The fight between Tszyu and Fundora will take place on March 30. At stake in this confrontation will be the championship belts in the first middleweight WBC and WBO versions.
