Sandhagen doesn't want to fight Nurmagomedov outside the US

American UFC lightweight fighter Corey Sandhagen has said he has no interest in fighting Dagestan's Umar Nurmagomedov outside of his home country.

"I don't know if I have to fly to the other side of the world to fight him. I'm giving him a chance - that's what our fight looks like from the outside. I'm someone who is willing to give him a chance to show that he deserves to be the next champion in this division, but I really don't like the idea of traveling halfway across the world for him to get an advantage in a fight," BJ Penn quoted Sandhagen as saying.

Earlier it was reported that the meeting between Sandhagen and Nurmagomedov could take place on June 29 in Las Vegas.
