"I'm hoping to fight Ian in November. I don't know if he'll be ready, but we'll find out. I want to do New York, I think it's my city and I feel like a Queens native - I really hope I get on that card. I'm sure I'm in a pretty strong position. I've made my desire known to the UFC, and I feel like after a fight like this they should give me what I need," Vera said on The MMA Hour show.
Recall that on March 9 at UFC 299, Vera lost by a crushing judges' decision to current belt holder Sean O'Malley.
