On May 18 or June 1, a fight between Manny Pacquiao (62-8-2, 39 KOs) and Conor Benn (23-0, 14 KOs) could take place at a boxing night organized in Saudi Arabia.
The financial terms of the fight have already been agreed and the boxers are waiting for the official confirmation of the fight date. This will be another attempt to set up a confrontation between the Brit and the Filipino. Several approaches have already been made in this direction last year.
Sean Gibbons, one of Pacquiao's managers, has long reported that the former world champion in eight weight classes is planning to restart his career. The Filipino was recently denied entry to the Paris Olympics because he exceeded the maximum age limit.
Conor Benn's last professional fight was in February when he won on points against Peter Dobson. Pacquiao's last official outing in the ring was over two years ago.
