Tom Aspinall, interim UFC heavyweight champion, explained why he put his hand on his shoulder when confronted by Jon Jones, the promotion's current featherweight champion.
"I think he thought I put my hand on his shoulder, showing him disrespect. But I wasn't going to be disrespectful. I did it in a friendly way, I'm not trying to provoke a conflict. I want to fight this guy and take his belt. I have no beef with this guy, I just wanted to meet him," said Aspinall on his YouTube channel.
Recall, earlier Aspinall after meeting with Jones said that John seemed to him a taller fighter.
