Covington has given a timeline for his return to the octagon

Former interim UFC welterweight champion Colby Covington has revealed that he plans to make his next appearance at one of the summer's numbered tournaments.

According to the scandalized American, he is now recovering from several broken bones in his leg.

"I had three broken bones in my leg and it's still bothering me. I'm sure I'll be in the main event or consensual fight of a big PPV show this summer. There's been no talk with the UFC, but they know I'll agree to anything," Covington told Submission Radio's YouTube channel.

Covington had his last fight in December at UFC 296, losing by unanimous decision to champion Leon Edwards.
