UFC middleweightMarvin Vettori explained why he was forced to withdraw from his upcoming bout with Brendan Allen. Their fight was supposed to headline UFC Fight Night 240.

"I won't be fighting on April 7. Unfortunately, I was injured in an accident. Believe me, I'm the guy who wanted this fight the most. I really wanted to face this guy. At the same time, our lives are unpredictable and we have to be able to deal with these challenges. Right now my main goal is to focus on recovery. I'll come back stronger and better than ever and we'll fight again. Brendan, I'll see you back in the cage. I'm tired of all the crap you say about me. You're a funny guy. Remember, a fight with me is your biggest chance, you'll be begging me to agree to fight again. I'm doing you a favor, I feel like smashing your face in because you make me laugh.... I'll see you soon," Bloody Elbow quoted Vettori as saying.
