Topuria's coach thinks Elijah will beat up Makhachev

Jorge Clement, coach of UFC featherweight champion Elijah Topuria, spoke out about his ward's possible fight with the organization's current lightweight champion Islam Makhachev. The specialist is confident that Elijah is capable of beating Islam.

"What I would like most of all is a fight with Islam Makhachev. I would like to see Ilija move up in weight and win a second title. I think he's capable of doing that. If Alexander Volkanovski with a full camp gave Makhachev such a fight, I think Ilia can beat Islam," said Clement.

Earlier, Ilia Topuria posted on his social media a snippet of Makhachev's only defeat, when he was knocked out by Adriano Martins in the first round.
