The date for the rematch between former Ultimate Fighting Championship super flyweight champion Josh Taylor (19-1, 13 KOs) and Jack Catterall (28-1, 13 KOs) has been moved to May 25 in Leeds. The fight was previously scheduled for April 27, but the date was postponed due to Taylor's physical ailment.

Thus, the upcoming fight will be Taylor's return to the ring after last year's loss to Teofimo Lopez. In that performance, the Scotsman lost his WBO title. Catterall returned to the ring in May after more than a year off. The 30-year-old Englishman last boxed in October.

The first fight between Taylor and Catterall took place in February 2022. After twelve rounds, the judges gave the victory to Taylor, although most observers saw Catterall's advantage.
