UFC lightweight champion Islam Makhachev has mocked Michael Chandler, who has been idle since November 2022 waiting for a box office bout with former two-division titleholder Conor McGregor.
"How many years has Chandler been waiting for this fight? Every night he goes to bed and dreams about fighting McGregor. He's not young anymore, he needs to perform. Besides, if you lose again, then maybe Conor will still want to meet you," Makhachev said in an interview with MMA Junkie.
Recall, earlier McGregor repeatedly stated that he plans to fight Chandler on June 29 during International Fight Week in Las Vegas.
