Famed American mixed martial arts veteran Daniel Cormier praised compatriot Sean O'Malley for his performance against Ecuadorian Marlon Vera.
On March 8 in the main event of UFC 299 in Miami, USA, O'Malley defeated Vera by unanimous decision of the judges and defended the promotion's lightweight division title.
"From the start of the fight it was obvious that we were not seeing the same O'Malley that fought Sterling, even though that fight was just a few months ago. He continues to progress at an insane rate. Vera has traditionally started the bout slowly, and built momentum as the fight went on, but Sean didn't let him get the better of him.
This time it was clear to see Sean taking Marlon apart piece by piece. He did a great job. O'Malley was given the canvas and he painted a masterpiece. His striking technique was next level," MMA Junkie quoted Cormier as saying.
