"Porier took a big risk tonight, came out victorious and looked terrific. Dustin vs. Makhachev in June, especially since everyone else has fights. If the UFC pulls this one off, Islam will be in," Abdel-Aziz wrote on social media.
The bout between Puryear and Saint-Denis took place this morning at UFC 299, ending with Puryear winning by knockout in the second round. Saint-Denis later commented on the defeat, saying that he wasn't able to show what he was capable of due to illness.
