Former UFC lightweight titleholder Khabib Nurmagomedov has admitted that he sorely misses his late father's advice.
Abdulmanap Nurmagomedov passed away in the summer of 2020 due to complications from a coronavirus.
"What I miss most is his advice. Always when I had difficult situations, he was always there for me and always gave good advice. Sometimes I didn't even understand what he was saying because we have 26 years age difference, but I always followed his advice. Even if I didn't understand. Because there is no freedom of speech between father and son.
It's very popular nowadays for children to speak as equals to their parents. My father always told me, "How dare you, at 17, teach me! Your brain is still small, you were only born yesterday." We were around everywhere, at home, at the gym, and we had very funny conversations at times. But I always followed what he told me," - quotes Nurmagomedov MMA Junkie.
Recall that Nurmagomedov finished his career in the fall of 2020. In his record list of 29 victories and no defeats.
