PFL heavyweight champion Renan Ferreira of Brazil has announced that he has decided to take a brief pause in his career.
The Brazilian intends to wait for a box office bout with former UFC titleholder Francis Ngannou, who joined with the PFL last year, but is focused on competing in professional boxing for now.
"I've fought in PFL tournaments three years in a row, it's exhausting. I fought in November and February with almost no rest, my body is tired. I need to rest and wait for new opportunities. Ngannou? Recall, on February 24 at the tournament PFL vs. Bellator Ferreira knocked out Ryan Bader in the first round and became the main candidate for a fight with Ngannou.
