Ex-UFC fighter from Kazakhstan wins fight with a broken leg

The 57th tournament of the Kazakh promotion NAIZA took place the other day. In the main fight of this event, ex-UFC fighter Zhalgas Zhumagulov and American Cleveland McLean met in the cage. The fight lasted the entire allotted time and ended with the victory of the local fighter by unanimous decision. After the fight, Zhumagulov announced that he had broken his leg in the first round, and fought the remaining two rounds with such a serious injury.

“I broke my leg in the first round and fought for two rounds with a broken leg and couldn’t feel it. Worked purely on character. I wanted to chop myself up, but I couldn’t. And I didn’t want to lose either. How soon can I return? As soon as I get sick, I’ll come out immediately. In any case, I will not end my career.”
