Former UFC interim lightweight belt holder Tony Feruson shared his memories of the cancellation of the fight with Khabib Nurmagomedov in April 2020. Then the Dagestani refused to fight due to the growing coronavirus pandemic.

“When Khabib fled to his home in Makhachkala during the pandemic, I still gained weight. It was damn cool! That night I ate everything I could get my hands on. Chips, cookies, energy drinks! I weighed 83 kilograms. And by Friday I had reduced my weight to 70 kg. I almost died! But it was a victory over myself,” Ferguson said in an interview with the JAXXON Podcast.

Let us remind you that in the period from 2015 to 2020, the fights between the Dagestani and the American were canceled five times.
