American UFC lightweight Michael Chandler responded to critics who persistently advise him to refuse a box office fight with the main star of the promotion Conor McGregor.

ā€œNo one was in my place and waited for the fight as much as I do. IĀ was ready to fight right after The Ultimate Fighter show. Still, the vacation turned out to be excellent. I spent time with my family. My business was thriving, even though I wasn’t fighting in the Octagon. Conor was also minding his own business.

I can say that I will not get off this train. I have too much confidence that our battle will take place. ā€œI can’t do otherwise,ā€ MMA Mania quotes Chandler as saying.

Let us remember that Chandler has been idle since November 2022, when he suffered an early defeat in a fight with Dustin Poirier.
