American UFC lightweight Michael Chandler responded to critics who persistently advise him to refuse a box office fight with the main star of the promotion Conor McGregor.

“No one was in my place and waited for the fight as much as I do. I was ready to fight right after The Ultimate Fighter show. Still, the vacation turned out to be excellent. I spent time with my family. My business was thriving, even though I wasn’t fighting in the Octagon. Conor was also minding his own business.

I can say that I will not get off this train. I have too much confidence that our battle will take place. “I can’t do otherwise,” MMA Mania quotes Chandler as saying.

Let us remember that Chandler has been idle since November 2022, when he suffered an early defeat in a fight with Dustin Poirier.
