UFC head Dana White explained why the former champion of the promotion has two weight categories Henry Cejudo did not interview in the octagon after the loss to Merab Dvalishvili.

Let us remind you that last weekend at the UFC 298 tournament in Anaheim, USA, the American was defeated by unanimous decision.

“Henry Cejudo retired once already, didn’t he? Threw gloves and all that. And this was the day of Merab. Dvalishvili fought with the third in the ranking, a former champion, and easily won against him. This was his day.

If Henry wants to announce his retirement again, he can do so at a press conference or somewhere else. And giving him a microphone on fight day would be a bad idea. I believe that you should not take a three-year break from MMA, nothing good will come of it. Cejudo looked great in the first round, and then began to get tired, while Merab was getting stronger,” White was quoted as saying by MMA Junkie.
