Sayat Abdrakhmanov, manager of the top Kazakh UFC welterweight Shavkat Rakhmonov, reacted to the rumor that his ward refused to fight the welterweight champion Leon Edwards at the anniversary UFC 300.

“We don’t know who exactly was offered to Leon Edwards as a rival. I can only say that we did not refuse such an offer, since we, in principle, did not receive such an offer. Therefore, it cannot be said that Shavkat refused this fight, since there was no official proposal. At the moment, Shavkat is still recovering from his injury.
