Bekzat Amalkhan, a UFC debutant representing Kazakhstan, explained why he agreed to meet Umar Nurmagomedov in the Octagon in his first fight in the organization.

“We are ready, that’s why we accepted this fight. We'll show you everything we're capable of. There was no such thing as thinking about whether to accept the fight. I agreed immediately. An audio message arrived and I agreed immediately. Three or four years ago I said that if I was offered a contract in the UFC, I would fight with any opponent. And so it happened. Umar is a top opponent, one of the best. If I win against Umar, I will be ready to fight with anyone in the top 10 rating. Umar is a famous, strong contender. Some of the fighters are running away from him. But I’m in good shape, I believe in my strength. This is my chance."

Let us remind you that the fight between Almakhan and Nurmagomedov will take place on March 2.
