UFC featherweight champion Alexander Volkanovski shared his opinion on the latest statements of his closest opponent Ilia Topuria.
Earlier, the Spanish Georgian said that if he wins the title, he will not defend it in fights with fighters who, in his opinion, do not pose a danger to him.
“He says he doesn’t want to fight all the contenders. What is a great champion? I am proud of myself and try to be a great champion. And when my time is up, I hope that after me there will be a great champion in our division. And we definitely don’t want a champion who will sit back and not want to fight all the top contenders,” BJ Penn quotes the Australian.
Let us remind you that the fight between Volkanovski and Topuria will take place on the night of February 18 at the UFC 298 tournament in Anaheim, USA.
