Undefeated UFC fighter Khamzat Chimaev denied information that he could perform at the promotion's 300th anniversary tournament, which is scheduled for April 13 in Las Vegas, USA.
Earlier, the famous American journalist Ariel Helwani reported that the organization’s leadership is working on a fight between Chimaev and the welterweight division champion Leon Edwards.
“I hope you main event UFC 300 with a title fight,” a fan wrote in the comments to Chimaev’s Instagram post.
“I won’t fight in Ramadan,” Khamzat replied.
Let us remember that Chimaev made his last appearance in October last year at UFC 294, unconvincingly defeating Kamaru Usman by split decision. The 29-year-old Chechen from the UAE has 13 wins and no defeats in MMA.
