Wilder: Parker fight showed me where I am and where I should be

Former WBC world heavyweight champion Deontay Wilder shared his thoughts regarding the defeat to the former WBO belt holder Joseph Parker.

On December 23 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, the American sensationally lost to the New Zealander by a crushing decision.

“The last fight showed where I am and where I should be. If I had won, it wouldn’t have given me anything, I would have done in training what I did before. I wouldn't change a thing. So every cloud has a silver lining. It was a boring fight in which nothing happened.

I returned to the gym the next day. I hadn’t been in the ring for almost two years, only fought one round, and then went out to fight a guy who was still active. This is only a small part of what I can demonstrate, and at the same time I had less than three weeks to prepare,” Wilder said in an interview with the ESNEWS YouTube channel.
