UFC featherweight champion Alexander Volkanovski admitted that in his last fight he suffered his first concussion.
Let us remember that in October last year at the UFC 294 tournament in Abu Dhabi, UAE, Volkanovski made a second consecutive unsuccessful attempt to take the title from the champion in a division higher Islam Makhacheva, losing by knockout in the first round.
“I actually suffered a mild concussion. Which is bad for my head, by the way. Before this I had never had a concussion. I am lucky. After all, I played football all my life, played rugby, fought, but never got a concussion. It’s seriously confusing, as you probably noticed at the post-fight press conference,” Volkanovski said in an interview with Israel Adesanya.
