Gvozdyk: “I was promised fights in March and May”

Former WBC world light heavyweight champion Alexander Gvozdyk said he expects to hold two performances this spring.

“I was promised fights in March and May. There is no specific date or opponents yet. It would be great to box on March 30th as part of the Premier Boxing Champions show from Amazon. I hope this will work out, but the opponent will most likely not be from the top 10. Then I want to fight on the undercard of the Canelo fight, he usually fights in May. That’s my plan,” Gvozdyk said.

Let us remember that last year the 36-year-old Gvozdyk returned to boxing after a three-year break. The Ukrainian won three victories, the last of which came in September in a fight with Brazilian Isaac Rodriguez.
