Former UFC Light Heavyweight Champion Jamal Hill announced that he will soon return to the Octagon.

“I’m coming back!” the American wrote on his X page.

Hill won the vacant title last January with a unanimous decision over Glover Teixeira. In July, the American ruptured his Achilles tendon during training and decided to resign as champion so as not to hold up the division.

The title eventually received a new owner in November at UFC 295, when Alex Pereira knocked out Jiri Prochazka in the second round.

Let's remember that Hill has repeatedly stated that his next fight will be a title fight. According to the fighters, he received such guarantees from the head of the promotion, Dana White.
