Former world welterweight champion Keith Thurman shared his expectations for the upcoming fight against the WBA title holder in the first middle division Tim Tszyu, which will take place on March 30 in Las Vegas.
“He’s a slow Mexican-style boxer. I will meet him in the center of the ring, after which he will go home in tears. They say he comes from the bottom, but I'll try to impose my will on you, buddy. Perhaps he watched videos of my fights, but he doesn’t know what awaits him in our confrontation.
Tszyu signed the contract, but does not understand what he has done. It’s bitter for him, but it’s sweet for me! I'm just looking for great battles. Tim right now fills that void and gives me the fight I want. He intends to open the gates to his new era, but my job is to close the door in his face,” Thurman said at a press conference.
