Sonnen believes Holloway can beat Oliveira and Tsarukyan in the title race

Retired mixed martial arts veteran, commentator and analyst Chael Sonnen expressed the opinion that the former UFC featherweight champion Max Holloway after his next fight he can become the main contender for the belt in the lightweight division.

Let us remind you that on April 13 at the UFC 300 tournament in Las Vegas, Holloway will make a foray at 155 pounds - his opponent will be Justin Gaethje.

“They say that the winner of the fight between Arman Tsarukyan and Charles Oliveira will become Islam Makhachev’s next opponent. I do not think so. I think Gaethje is the top contender and he's dealing with Max right now. So if Holloway wins, he may well fight for the lightweight belt. On the other hand, Max recently said that he is interested in the title in the featherweight category,” Sonnen reflected on his YouTube channel.
