Anderson and Moore will compete for vacant Bellator title

The new Bellator light heavyweight champion will be determined in March. As MMA Fighting reports, citing its own sources, the promotion will hold a tournament on March 22 in Belfast, and the American will be in the main event Corey Anderson will fight Irish native Carl Moore for the vacant belt.

This fight was scheduled after Vadim Nemkov officially resigned as champion and moved to heavyweight.

Anderson (17-6) got his third shot at the title after two fights with Nemkov: the first meeting in April 2022 ended without a result declared, and in the second he was defeated on points seven months later. Corey was later able to get his career back on track with a split decision victory over Phil Davis at Bellator 297 last June.

As for Moore (12-2), he is on a four-game winning streak.
