Top UFC lightweight Justin Gaethje explained why he deserved a fight with the organization’s champion in this weight, Islam Makhachev.
“I know people want to see a new face in the fight with Makhachev. There are others who say that I lost twice in the title fight. But I did what I had to do. I beat up the number six or number seven prospect and then knocked out number two. So, this is where I are. Yes, [Oliveira’s] blow ruined everything, but I’m ready to confirm my reputation,” ESPN quotes the fighter.
Let us remind you that in the next fight Gaethje will meet with Max Holloway. Their fight will take place on April 13 as part of the anniversary UFC 300.
