Emelianenko explained the decision to end his MMA career

Former Pride heavyweight champion Fedor Emelianenko stated that he decided to leave mixed martial arts for the reason that his body could no longer tolerate the load at the proper level.

ā€œIā€™m training, Iā€™m in shape. I graduated from MMA. I already feel that my body canā€™t handle MMA. I can work, but flare-ups occur. And in boxing everything is fine - I can train, prepare, and carry out all the loads,ā€ Emelianenko said.

Let us remember that 47-year-old Emelianenko retired after a knockout loss to Ryan Bader in February last year. Later, the veteran repeatedly stated his desire to have a boxing match with the legendary Mike Tyson.
