Brian Campbell, a popular American MMA analyst, commented on the information that the UFC lightweight champion Islam Makhachev will not perform at the organization’s 300th anniversary tournament.
“I expect a very strong card for the UFC 300 tournament, but the closer the date of the competition gets, the more problems and worries we have. I really expected to see Islam Makhachev and Charles Oliveira at this tournament. But I was reminded about Ramadan, and Islam himself seems to be injured, so he is considering other dates for the fight. At UFC 100 we had star power, at UFC 200 we had star power and depth. What the hell are we going to get this time? Only if Khabib decides to ignore the wishes of his late father.”
Let us remind you that UFC 300 will take place on April 13 in Las Vegas.
