White hints at Du Plessis' next opponent

UFC CEO Dana White made it clear that the promotion's newly crowned middleweight champion Dricus Du Plessis may make his first defense against the former title holder Israel Adesanya.

“We will decide this on Tuesday. We'll probably announce it next week. If du Plessis fights Adesanya, we will know about it next week,” White said at a press conference.

Let us remember that last weekend Du Plessis won a split decision against Sean Strickland and won the championship belt.
