Volkanovski: O'Malley made it clear he doesn't want to fight me

UFC featherweight champion Alexander Volkanovski commented on the recent statement of the holder of the belt in the division below Shauna O'Malley.

Earlier, the American announced that he would challenge Ilya Topuria, if he manages to defeat Volkanovski in the upcoming title fight at the UFC 298 tournament.

“Sean is a savvy guy, a great fighter, I have nothing against him. He didn't call me? I don't care, it's okay. In fact, I even listen to his podcast from time to time. I know why he says that. He made it clear that he didn't want to fight me.

He honestly said this, so it’s logical that he wants to fight Topuria. They have a history, it's a smart move. If Elijah for some unknown reason beats me, although most likely not, O’Malley will have a chance to become a double champion,” the Australian said in an interview with Michael Bisping.
