Volkanovski: “The fight with Topuria is ideal for me”

UFC featherweight champion Alexander Volkanovski spoke about the fight with the challenger Ilia Topuria, which will take place on February 17 at the UFC 298 tournament in Anaheim.

“He’s a great competitor. There is a lot of hype around this guy, he is powerful and does not know the bitterness of defeat. I still think this is the perfect fight for me. A lot of people say that my opponent is dangerous, and that’s true,” said the Australian MMA Junkie.

Let us remind you that the upcoming fight will be Volkanovski’s first after a knockout defeat from lightweight division champion Islam Makhachev. The meeting took place at UFC 294 last October.
