Roach gave an accurate forecast for the Munguia-Ryder fight

Freddie Roach, trainer of the Mexican ex-world champion Jaime Munguia, I am sure that his ward will advance John Ryder in eight rounds.

The meeting of these boxers will take place on January 27 in Phoenix, USA.

“I studied a lot of records. Ryder is a good fighter, but not perfect like my ward. I think Munguia will knock him out within eight rounds. He will do this through head movements, combinations and footwork.

We put everything together. We don't work on just one aspect. Munguia is now a far more accomplished fighter than ever before. I know that after his last fight we needed to improve and we are doing that. We are improving every aspect of his game. From combinations to footwork, Munguia gets better at everything. People say he doesn't have good defense. But what about a good attack? Isn't this a good defense? That’s how I see it,” Roach said.
