Diego Braga, a Brazilian mixed martial arts veteran, was killed by members of the Comando Vermelho crime gang in Brazil. This was announced by his son, also MMA fighter Gabriel Braga.
According to Gabriel, Diego's motorcycle was stolen on Sunday evening. He went to the favela in search of a vehicle, where he was killed.
Diego Braga fought his last professional fight in July 2019, winning a unanimous decision against Da Conceicao. After retiring, he coached underprivileged children in the favelas, as well as his son, who is a finalist in the 2023 PFL season.
