Apparently, a tender was scheduled for January 16, at which the organizer of the fight for the vacant IBF world heavyweight title between Mairis Briedis (28-2, 20 KOs) and Gilberto Ramirez (45-1, 30 KOs), may not take place.
Ultimately, Ramirez's next professional fight will be a fight with the WBA world champion Arsen Gulamiryan (27-0, 18 KOs). The fight is tentatively scheduled for March in the United States.
If this information is confirmed, the IBF will seek a top-rated opponent for Briedis. Next in their ranking is former champion Jai Opetaya, who, however, is already set to return to the ring on February 17th with another opponent.
