Strickland: "Steroid use should be banned for life"

Dmitriy Kel Jan. 11, 2024, 2:01 a.m.

UFC middleweight champion Sean Strickland believes that fighters caught using illegal drugs should be permanently banned from performing.

“We need to give a lifetime ban for using steroids, EPO and other nasty things. Traces of illegal drugs in legal supplements are one thing. But real shit should be punished with a lifetime ban from performing.

If the UFC and the athletic commissions took this seriously, then this would be the norm. Most of the fighters will agree with this,” the American wrote in X.

Let us remind you that on January 20 at the UFC 297 tournament in Toronto, Canada, Strickland will defend his title against Dricus Du Plessis.
