Former UFC champion in two divisions Conor McGregor on New Year's Eve announced his long-awaited return to the Octagon - on June 29 in Las Vegas he will fight Michael Chanler. The star Irishman announced that the fight will take place in the middleweight limit, but his American opponent very much doubts this.

“I give 100% that the fight against Conor will take place on June 29th. Average weight? Well, it's 50/50. To be honest, it doesn't matter. I spent 5 weeks with Conor while filming the reality show TUF. The only thing you need to know is that he doesn't want to fight at lightweight because he wants everyone to believe he's bigger than he actually is.

According to McGregor, he is capable of fighting at welterweight. But I challenged him to a fight at this weight, so he had to talk about middle weight. To demonstrate our dominance,” Chandler said in an interview with ESPN.
