Mitchell is out for the rest of the year after being knocked out by Emmett.

Bryce Mitchell, the number ten ranked UFC featherweight, will likely miss this year while recovering from an early loss to Josh Emmett.

“I maintain my own concussion protocol. I will consult with my coaches, and we have come to the conclusion that it is not worth sparring for six months. I have to build a new house and expect my first child, but after that I will immediately start the next training camp. The good thing is that I don’t need to rush,” the fighter said.

Let's remember that Mitchell lost to Emmett by knockout in the first round at UFC 296.
